Who we are

About the centre

Located at the Footscray Hospital, the Community Centre is a purpose-built space designed to bring people together.

The Centre is an initiative of Plenary Health, the consortium operating the new Footscray Hospital in partnership with Western Health. Inspired by Footscray’s strong tradition of community connection, the space has been created for local groups, not‑for‑profit organisations and community initiatives to meet, collaborate and support wellbeing across Melbourne’s west.

Positioned on the ground level of the Federal Street Building and accessed via the Village Green walkway, the Community Centre is centrally located within a thriving hub of health, education and community activity. Surrounded by healthcare services, Victoria University and open green spaces, it offers a unique setting where community and wellbeing come together.

The Centre is suitable for:

  • Community workshops, meetings and events

  • Patient support and outreach programs

  • Community education initiatives

  • Asylum and immigrant support services

  • Not-for-profit and charitable gatherings

  • Social and cultural activities

The space is flexible, accessible and easy to use. Simply submit a booking request via the system above, and our team will be in touch to confirm the details.

Whether you’re hosting a community group, delivering a wellbeing program or bringing people together around a shared purpose, the Community Centre is here to support you.

We look forward to welcoming you.
